In addition, a Project cum Internship is Mandatory for 3rd Year (H) students in a Hospital. The Department and the College authorities facilitate the process for internship by contacting and making arrangements with the hospitals and providing the students with the letter of recommendation. Since 2011 students have undertaken internships in various hospitals e.g. B.P.Poddar, Desun, Fortis, Kasturi, Kothari, Nightingale, SSKM to mention a few.

2. DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY

The Department of History conducted a special excursion in the academic session 2010-11 to Murshidabad with approximately 30 students. Shri Dipak Mondal, Ms. Sweta Dutta, Ms. Chumki Sarkar and Ms. Nilanjana Basu, the faculty members of the department were involved in organising and conducting the study tour. The study tour was aimed at imparting the students’ knowledge regarding the Battle of Plassey which was a landmark in Indian history, as the defeat of Siraj in 1757 marked the advent of British in India.
