Kanyashree Prakalpa Scheme was introduced by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, Government of West Bengal. The key objective of Kanyashree Prakalpa is to improve the status of girl child in the state by incentivizing schooling of all teenage girls and preventing their early marriages. Kanyashree, a scheme of Government of West Bengal, is offered by the Department of Women Development and Social Welfare, only for the girl students of West Bengal who are aged between 13 & 18.
Kanyashree Prakalpa helps that students to continue their education for a long period of time. The candidates who will be selected for the scholarship will be provided that scholarship amount of Rs 1000/- annually till she completes 18 year age and for the girls between age 18 to 19, One time grant of Rs 25,000 will be given to the candidates.

The Kanyashree scheme of this college started in the year 2013. The chief aim of this scheme is to make the girl students self-reliant and to boost up their capacity to continue their education. As it is evident from its nomenclature that the only girl students fall under this scheme. College students fall under K2 scheme of Kanyashree as mentioned by Government of West Bengal. They get consolidated INR Rs 25000/- in the three year degree course.
