Budge Budge College, inspite of being located in the suburban fringes of Kolkata ensures a congenial environment free from harassment, exploitation and intimidation levelling upon violence within its campus for its students, teaching and non-teaching staff. In order to provide an environment conducive to the all-round development of college ambience, the college has a separate ‘Anti Sexual Harassment sub-committee/ Cell.’ Its main objectives are:

• To ensure free access to all the facilities, devoid of gender bias, thereby ensuring equal participation in all walks of campus activities.
• To provide an environment free from gender-based discrimination.
• To promote a socio-psychological environment for raising awareness about sexual harassment in its myriad forms.

Any victim has the right to complain in writing to the ‘Anti Sexual Harassment sub-committee/ Cell’, by dropping it in a locked complaint box of the cell. The cell ensues that the complaint is treated in confidence and ensures to maintain and safeguard the security and anonymity of the complainant.
